I sincerely hope that something I have gone through will help someone else that might be dealing with anxiety.

There is one nagging thought in my mind though. Can a person that doesn’t know Jesus ever be healed of anxiety?

I don’t 100% know this answer. But this I DO know. After having gone through it, and I even still struggle with it some since my dizziness health issue, I don’t know how someone would make it through WITHOUT knowing Him. Besides all that – “for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5b

So if you are reading this, and you don’t know Him, I don’t want to discourage you. But when I say know Him, I’m not just talking about going to church. Or praying to Him. Or knowing OF Him. You might know the things He’s done or who He is. But do you KNOW Him? Do you have a personal relationship with Him? Have you ever seen yourself as a sinner in need of Him? Have you realized you were on your way to hell and only HE could save you?

I realize this might be a turn off for some, but my last post was entitled “This Battle Isn’t Mine.” There was an unseen battle one day. The battle between good and evil. And Jesus fought that battle. There’s no way we could. No matter how strong or skilled we are. In fact, to win this battle blood had to be shed. But our’s wasn’t good enough. It had to be sinless blood. From a spotless Lamb. And there was only 1 person that could ever satisfy the requirements for that. God’s son. He not only fought the ultimate battle, He won. And because He won that battle, every other battle we face can be won ONLY through Him. You may not agree with me on this. Because people win battles every day. The battle of cancer or addiction or abuse. We as human beings have this idea that we can be strong. We can make ourselves invincible. We don’t need anything or anyone. We can acquire power. We can work hard and get things done on our own.

But who do we think enables us to do that? Can we really do anything on our own? And even if we think we fight those battles ourselves, what about the battle of life and death? We all die. But because of one Man’s victory over death, hell and the grave, we have the choice of where we will be in eternity. Because He has already fought every battle we will ever face. Yes, there will be tough times that we have to fight through. Yes, there will be trials that take us to the brink of death. Yes there are times of darkness and fear and anxiety. But there is a GOD who has fought it all and won! And all He wants us to do is stand still and let Him fight for us. What pressure this would take off our shoulders if we would just realize this! And do it!

If you don’t know Him, He is waiting. He stands ready to fight for you. This Warrior is undefeated. He will not be destroyed. And He can take this battle that you’re in, and use it for all the world to see His power.

I did a study on the names of God and applied it to fear. I’d like to share it with you. I printed mine out and made it into a bookmark. Please feel free to do the same. You are not alone. You are not crazy. There are soooooo very many people that struggle with this. I only hope that it helps someone. Or that maybe it just lets you know that it’s ok to talk about. It’s ok to ask for help. It doesn’t mean you are weak or that you aren’t trusting enough. But when it’s all said and done, there is no one else that can help you like God can. It’s the most important thing I could tell you about your anxiety. I am living proof. Those words have now come full circle. From that wonderful God-sent MRI technician who reminded me there was hope. He was living proof. I am living proof. Let God take this battle and let Him calm your fears. And maybe one day you can pass those words on to someone else. “I am living proof.”

Here are the verses I memorized in a list you can print out: Fear Not Verses

And here is “The God Who Calms My Fears” bookmark. (You can save the image to your computer and print it out.)

This is good to memorize as well. Our mind believes what we tell it over and over again. If you tell yourself enough times that you are a failure for this anxiety, you will believe it. If you tell yourself this will never get fixed, your mind will believe it.

That’s why God told us to think on good things. And there’s nothing better to think on than a most powerful, ever present, all knowing God who loves you more than life. Anxiety may be part of your story, but it doesn’t have to be the ending. God wants so much more for you!
